sigh...my freakin sound card is out on my computer so I can't hear a darn thing. Grrrrrr!!! I will have to watch this when I get it fixed. Dreaded Dreams Petunia Scareum
I actually liked this movie but then again I went to the theatre with low expectations. The first time I saw the trailer I was freakin pissed cause Jason ran and in all the movies he walks which is what makes him scary. He walks but he always catches up to you. I agree with you on Micheal Bay he's a douche. P.s. nice song at the end, My Chemical Romance if my favorite band.
JennyB, I kind of enjoyed it b/c my friend and I just went knowing we wanted to see an awesomely bad horror movie. But yeah, I wasn't all that frightened either.
Ok, sound working now on computer so I was actually able to watch this. Sorry it took so long. I didn't hate this film, it has it's good points. What I didn't like was the fact that all three of the first F13's were squished into this film. I also didn't like the fact that JV didn't get his hockey mask from one of his victims, but just found it in a barn, what the heck? No, Jason killed a chubby loser and took his mask. He didn't find it, he earned it!! It's a trophy of one of his kills! Anyway, I guess the fact that I didn't have high expectations in the first place (since most recent remakes have been disappointing) plus the fact that I didn't have to pay to see it (my X did, lol, take that divorce court!) made it easier to just kick back and enjoy the film more than if I had gone into it thinking it was going to be something it's not. Is it a great film? No, but I don't think its all that terrible either, I will leave that award to films like Terror Toons and Skinned Deep. (Plate tossing little people trumps tunnel dwelling Jason anyday) good review my friend. Dreaded Dreams Petunia Scareum
Oh man, I forgot about Skinned Deep! That's a horrible movie, lol. Terror Tunes, however, I would watch ANY day over the Friday the 13th remake. What can I say, Terror Tunes is a guilty pleasure ;)
I liked the idea of Terror Toons, those costumes are amazing! I would love to have Max Assassin and Dr. Carnage come trick or treating at my door or even wondering around my favorite Halloween Haunt, that would be off the hook! Have you ever watched Terror Toons 2? The only thing that gave any shred of credibility to Skinned Deep was the Fangoria name slapped on the front of the DVD and the oh so missed Forrest J. Ackerman's cameo. Why Foree?? WHY???????? Dreaded Dreams Petunia Scareum
Oh man, those would make some badass Halloween costumes, lol. And I saw Terror Tunes 2, it was also pretty entertaining. I need to review those movies sometime, lol,
And yeah, I don't know WHY Forrest Ackerman was even in that movie, lol.

ReplyDeleteI love MCR too, they're awesome. And yeah, Micheal Bay's one of my least favourite filmakers of all time.

ReplyDeleteI can join the Michael Bay hatred, though!
