SHC Reviews the Crow series

  1. The Crow is one of my all time favorite films! The haunting sadness of not only the story, but the loss of Brandon Lee just moves me to no end.
I'm not the biggest fan of the sequels, I think Vincent Perez became better in his english speaking films after Crow City of Angels. If you want to see an excellent Vincent Perez film, watch the French film, Queen Margot. It's subtitled, but is a fantastic film. Here's a clip

The basic set up is this, Margot, a Catholic, is forced to marry Henri, King of Navarre, a Protestant. Margot's family arranged the marriage for one reason, so all the Protestants would attend, and then, be slaughtered. That massacre is what you will see in this clip. The film is pretty bloody, tons of violence, conspiracy, murder, sex and so forth.
Ok, back to the Crow. I was wondering what you thought of the Crow tv series? Personally I thought it was ok, not spectacular, but ok.
    Nice review

  2. Same here, I absolutely love the Crow. Brandon Lee should've been nominated for an Oscar, in my opinion. And I haven't seen Queen Margot, but I'll probabely check it out, since it's got titties and gore, lol.

The TV series was alot like the Highlander TV series for me: it was on and off. There were some episodes that kicked ass, and some that left you screaming "The fuck was that??". Overall, it was an OK series.
